SSA Paulding Recreational Soccer Coaching

SSA Paulding understands the importance of the Recreational program in fostering young players’ physical, mental, and social growth so they can reach their full potential. By creating a fun and knowledgeable coaching environment, the Recreational players, parents, and coaches can learn, develop, and enjoy the game of soccer regardless of individual ability.

SSA Paulding Recreational Coaching Staff consists of volunteer parent coaches who possess a varying level of soccer knowledge and experience.  That is why SSA is not only committed to developing the player, but the volunteer coach as well. SSA is there to support all of the coaches every step of the way, by providing a fun and knowledgeable coaching environment to help coaches learn the game and develop their skills, in order to deliver fun and age-appropriate training to all of the players.

Coaching Support

To assist you as a volunteer coach, SSA Paulding has a Recreational Director and admin staff who will be there to support you, and other parent coaches, every step of the way.  Please click on 'Contacts' above for more information.

A structured age-appropriate curriculum and other materials will be available to save you time, and help make your coaching role easier and more effective.

The club will provide support and guidance through the use of several media, including videos, sample session plans, and activities, to ensure that you, as a volunteer coach, feel comfortable and confident in providing developmentally appropriate practice sessions.

The club will stay in constant communication with you and will be accessible to answer any soccer related questions you may have over the course of the season.

Additionally, we encourage parents and all of our volunteer coaches to take the Georgia Soccer coaching courses. These professionally led courses (State G & F) are hosted by SSA before each season and are FREE to all of our registered SSA members. For additional information, and to sign up for a course, please click here.

Reimbursement

Registering As A Recreational Coach

To become part of our Recreational Coaching Staff, please login to your account and sign up as a volunteer. This step can also be completed the same time as you register your child. If you are new to SSA, you will need to create an account and then you may register your child as a player, and yourself as a volunteer coach. For additional information regarding coaching, please contact your SSA Paulding Recreational Director.

Please note that in order to coach in a youth sports organization, an individual must undergo and pass federally-mandated background checks and online player-safety training. These are provided at no cost to the individual.
